According to nVidia, the latest driver should run my card, so I installed it,
and it does. dkms proceeded normally after the reboot and I'm back to normal
operation.
Probably not associated with any packages from this list, I did get on reboot
a flood of selinux denials having to do with udev - about 50, during the
reboot process. I've posted one example to the Fedora list. My machine still
came up, and appears to be running OK, though I haven't done much since then
but browse a bit, and write a few emails.
