Indeed. This is unfortunately where dkms gets to its limit. The same
happened to the ntfs module, which no longer built on the latest FC6
updated kernels, and for which the latest sources/package no longer
builds on the older FC6 kernels :-(

I guess I'll start adding some requires for a certain kernel version
when that happens, unfortunately it's impossible to predict future
breakage, so fixing the situation you got into is impossible...

I'll try and look at the madwifi build issue ASAP, unless someone beats
me to it and posts the result to the list ;-)
