What "conflicts"? This is on purpose, as the latest gtkpod requires a
newer libgpod than the one shipped in Core. If/when the Core package
gets updated, then I'll remove the libgpod package from freshrpms.
I don't usually replace any Core or Extras packages, but as libgpod is
closely tied to gtkpod (they used to be the same source), the update
was required. I've set the release to 0 on purpose to let an eventual
Core update package of the same version replace it, I double checked
that there were no functional differences between the Core and
freshrpms packages, made sure the soname didn't change, and tested my
package against rhythmbox (which uses to lib).
