3945 how too (fc6)?

I don't have the hardware to test the ipw3945 stuff, so I'd definitely
be interested in some feedback and possible fixes for the packages.
What I've tested is the build and loading of the modules, which seems
to be the point where you've gotten too...

What does "iwconfig" list? Nothing?

If you're using NetworkManager, have you tried restarting the service
and the nm-applet?

Has anyone else tried to get their ipw3945 wireless to work with these
packages?
