Pine package?

It's fairly clear at this point that RedHat has dropped support for
Pine.  Is it too early to ask for this to be added to the freshrpms
archive?

As a side note, does anyone know why RedHat is dropping support?  They
claim something about license restrictions, but say that's not the
entire point.  Meanwhile other distros are keeping it....  It smells
like a personal conflict between developers to me.
